The fine grater disc makes easy work of grating Parmesan or Romano cheese for topping pasta dishes, nuts or coconut for topping cookies and cakes, ginger for adding to spice pastes and for seasoning a variety of Asian dishes, or horseradish to make your own horseradish sauce. Best of all, this disc lets you forget about scraping any more knuckles on that hand-held grater. Fine Grater
The disc does a superb job of grating hard cheeses but small pieces do tend to get wedged under the lid which is annoying but still using this is a thousand times better than attempting to grate the cheese by hand, or directly in the processor bowl, especially a large portion. I grated about a pound of romano cheese within seconds. I thought cleaning it was going to be a nightmare but I just ran it under some very hot water to get the tiny specs of cheese out of the teeth. This is a worthwhile disc to add to your collection.

Perfect to grate potato
If you are a lover of a Russian cuisine and like potato pancakes (Draniki) it's wonderful to grate potato. I couldn't find anything on a market for a long time that would grate potato in a food processor as fine as this blade. Now I can make potato pancakes in 10 min. Perfect for it!

Fine grater disc works fine
Grating very hard Italian cheese by hand was difficult and slow, so this disc makes a huge difference. The disc itself, while bearing the Cuisinart name, was made in China, but seems manufactured to high standards. My only complaint is that some of the cheese remains ungrated and gets wedged under the disc. However, overall the disc does a great job of producing very fine cheese. I have not tried it on anything other than cheese.
